90/100 VERY GOOD

I hate most horror games. Because they take away all my agency and even as a being made of flesh, who can easily die, I would still want to be able to defend myself. But most horror games don't give you a way to defend, not even to throw some hands, and this is one of those games. This is just a personal preference, it's not objective criticism.

Having said that, I have played the game, didn't finish it because I'm uncomfortable while playing it (the theme succeeded, I was terrified). I ended up playing until I finished the ball roll mini game and then got chomped on.

A few things I would like to point out - The lighter is floating, not sure if that was a purposeful decision or not seeing that there are no interacting animations, having an arm and hand would've improved the immersion and it wouldn't have had to have animations done.

The haze effect added in post processing is effective, the lighting is also fitting. Whoever designed the bed should get some credit, the suspension posts scared me more than the doll on the rocking chair, they look humanlike.

I couldn't find any code for the pin lock so I brute forced my way through it, took about 30 seconds. I like the fact that you can brute force your way out of a situation, it reflects reality - who has time to look for clues when there's a ghost with a jawline that would intimidate Jaws itself. A downside to the lock is that it had no audio feedback, or maybe it was a bug - but there was no feedback for me. When it unlocked and it started receding in the background animation, i could still twist numbers (i found this out because i was brute forcing it and the game permitted me to do a lot of moves in a rapid manner).

When talking with the person locked behind the door, think about doing the conversation in one go not to interact every time to activate it - it's a dire situation and people don't wait for you to give them permission to speak - breaks the rhythm a bit, i don't like the fact that i can not scavenge prior to the conversation where i am told to go back where i started (backtracking) to find a key(from watching playthroughs provided here, it seems that it is possible, but it didn't work for me, maybe bug).  This always annoyed me when experienced in games, because a person with developed gaming intuition would automatically scavenge everything around them (pretty much press E as you go).

Mechanically, the game was responsive, movement was sharp and reactive, I always prefer to have jumps than not have any - even though it's 5 cm off the ground because this is not that genre of game.

That's all I have to say due to not finishing the game haha.

Overall, very well done, there's a few improvements here and there, but you're in year 3 of study so you have plenty of time to improve!

Thanks a bunch for playing and the extensive feedback, we really appreciate it!

Regarding the lighter and bugs you've mentioned, we were well aware of these areas to polish, but since we aimed to have a complete mansion along with a start to finish point within the team's limitations, we focused there moreso than adding to where you've mentioned. Given some more time, we would have definitely had these more immersive aspects added in.

Also, Potato Party looks fun!

I really liked what I saw here in the game. The puzzles are very good and the graphics, although not so realistic, are very well done, with very well placed lighting. I can't wait for the full version. Congratulations to those involved in the development of this game.

Thank you so much for playing the game, sadly we won’t be doing anymore with the game as it was a group project for uni and today was our hand in day. As far as I know no more development will happen on the game.

I’m really happy you like the graphics, puzzles and lighting thank you so much for playing again and your video was great, was really funny seeing the bugs you encountered :D
